Image title and description 1: "Angles". This photograph shows shadows cast on a building. If one were to stand there for a while the shadows would move across the face of the building showing the passage of time.
Image title and description 2: "Osprey on the Wing" This photograph was taken at Jordan Lake and shows an osprey in flight. Observing the flight of such an elegant creature reveals the poetry inherent in nature as it glides effortlessly across space and time.

The activity of the people, vibrant and organic, reflected in the window is juxtaposed with the static nature of the light fixture on the sidewalk in front of the building. Movement and apparent stillness captured in the same instant. It's easy to appreciate the motion of people, but much harder to appreciate the slow, inexorable wearing away of the metallic fixture, yet both are in motion and marking time, each at their own pace.

Image title and description 1: Silently Conquering Self, self portrait My image "Silently Conquering Self" from my series Navigating in Traffic uses self portraiture to document and represent my transformative journey of healing and self discovery, as the “Traffic of Life” over drives itself. Each portrait shares a scene, capturing its complexities in a sequence of snap shots. Some of these disruptions have looked like a car wreck, many were painful, a few had the yellow light, some were wonderful on the other side, and a few looked monstrously impossible to face. I have traveled through these emotional obstacles and traumas, uncovered some, and continue to ride through each highway and four way stop. Life’s traffic. My traffic. I used photographs, and techniques like double exposure and In camera movement to create the images.
